Shortcuts That Amp Up Efficiency

  1. Spotlight Supercharge: The Spotlight search bar is more than just a simple search tool. Pressing Command + Space opens Spotlight, but did you know you can perform quick calculations, currency conversions, and even get real-time weather updates by typing in queries like “50 USD to EUR” or “65 Fahrenheit to Celsius”? It’s great for getting quick information.
  2. Show All Windows: To see all windows of a specific app, simply click and hold the app’s icon in the Dock, then select “Show All Windows.” You can also swipe up with three or four fingers on the trackpad while hovering over the app’s icon. You’ll have a clear view of all open windows for streamlined navigation.
  3. Window Snapping: Organize your workspace effortlessly by utilizing window snapping shortcuts. Hold down the Option key while resizing a window to keep its center fixed in place. Or press and hold the Green (Maximize) button on a window for split-screen options, allowing you to work on two apps side by side.
  4. Text Selection: Edit text with precision. Hold down the Option key while dragging your cursor to select text on a per-word basis, or hold down Shift + Option
